Toyoko Line Above, Road Below: Shibuya, Tokyo

I find Tokyo the most amazing place for 'levels', whether it be amazing, tiny restaurants tucked away on the 7th Floor of a building that is just a few metres wide. Or like this; trains on top, cars below. This isn't the most profound example of the phenomenon: I know somewhere near Hamamatsucho where you can see the train, three levels of motorway, the monorail and the canal all in one eyeful.



This is the Toyoko Line platform for trains heading towards Daikanyama, shot from the footbridge outside the station that crosses the main road intersection.
