117/365 Of Many Faces

117/365 Of Many Faces

Day 117

It was freezing today (not literally, I'm sure others have actual sub-zero temperatures), so I set up this shot while my cousins waited in the car. When I was ready, they came running out with iPads. yay, they were cooperative :). Credits to my brother for drawing the faces. Note to those who are planning to do a photo with iPads using strobes: The angle of the iPad matters, because for many of the photos, the screens rendered completely white (probably due to reflections). The type of protective plastic you stick on the iPad also matters. And... the brightness matters as well. It was sorta frustrating.

I was all excited about being able to use two strobes today, until one of my Cactus receivers kinda died because of some problem with the battery compartment. I'll try to get it fixed. Meanwhile...

Strobist Info: SB-900 camera right shot through umbrella | 50mm @ 1/16 Power w/ Full CTO

430EX II would have been somewhere behind the subject off camera left for rim light... but stupid receivers just stopped working :/

Anyway, New Year's coming up! I better start thinking of some goals for the next 248 days :)
