Update: Several of my images, including this one, were used in Channel 4 documentary 'Floods: The Year Britain Went Under' alongside an Interview with myself. Documentary broadcast 27 December 07 at 8pm.

You can watch a clip from the doc which includes my interview and photos Here. I'm after the section with Mark shaw from the Fire & Rescue Service.

As well as my digi gear i took a 4x5 Speed Graphic and some polaroid film with me...i had a very heavy bag!! I also have this on type 55 which i'll be posting soon. I thought the negs were ruined and had to rescue them from the bin.

With fear that the Dam at Ulley would burst at any moment the M1 motorway was closed. For those that don't know this is probably one of the busiest roads in the UK linking London to the North of the country.

It was very odd not having any traffic on here. So i took the opportunity to ride my BMX down there. I'm told i was filmed by the BBC helicopter and broadcast live.

Some Police stopped me....but only asked if i was having a nice time! They also said it was costing?14,000 per minute to keep the motorway closed....it was closed for several days!
