I just love how in a fine summer day, the blue sky blends into the glass of the London skyscrapers, the Guerkin and the Aviva...
========================================================================
30 St Mary Axe, also known as the Gherkin and the Swiss Re Building, is a skyscraper in London's main financial district, the City of London, completed in December 2003 and opened on 28 April 2004. It is 180 metres (591 ft) tall, with 40 floors. Its construction symbolised the start of a new high-rise construction boom in London.
The building was designed by Lord Foster, his then business partner Ken Shuttleworth,[1] and Arup engineers, and was constructed by Skanska of Sweden in 2001–2004.

Seems like you guys are quite a sucker for wide angle sky shot :P so here's another one I managed to dig out in my 2008 folder. I didn't find anything interesting about this shot..no focus of subject in the foreground too but what the heck... wide angle takes it all lol! Have a great day & evening ahead everyone!
View LARGE On Black to see that little sunburst

The Shot
Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) with tripod using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens
Photomatix
- Tonemapped generated HDR using Detail enhancer option
Photoshop
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast for the sky
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (blues) to lighten the sky
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (yellows) to tone down the sunburst
- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (reds) to decrease the sand tone
- Used a slight amount of 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

Explored. #202. Thank You
Maybe still sleeping or gone for a walk! this is one of the bedrooms rather rooms in the abandoned Mitre Hotel.
Shot with the D80 a while back....been busy and hopefully get some shots this weekend with my new cam. I also needed a break from landscapes ;-)
This is a 7 exposure blended composite. NO HDR - for a reason...wanted only the light and certain sections to stand out. HDR would have been great here for another POV....details and in bringing out overall run down state.
EXPLORED! #24
I swear I didn't edit the smoke to look like that.
*Not even worth it unless viewed Here!*

The Gardener is a store in the San Francisco Ferry Building that celebrates beautiful and useful things for the home and garden. The Marketplace shop, located in the Nave, offers a refreshing shopping experience for city dwellers seeking uniquely crafted tabletop, cooking, dining, and garden items—from garden tools and baskets, to handmade ceramics and linens, to distinctive furniture. The merchandise changes with the seasons and immediately wins the hearts of those who share a gardener's aesthetic and spirit.
The Ferry Building store is the third The Gardener store in the Bay Area. The first opened in Berkeley in 1984, as the inspired vision of owner Alta Tingle. Alta broke new ground by connecting house to garden with her unique aesthetic for functional objects that serve to enrich the everyday experience. The original store on Fourth Street endures as a nationally-acclaimed and locally-beloved mecca for discerning shoppers. A second store, which opened in 1998, resides in a barn amidst a bountiful garden in the wine country town of Healdsburg—one hour north of San Francisco.
