This photo won 1st place in the 2008 Black Walnut Festival photo show.
For my Rural Abandon project.
All the shots that are in the Rural Abandon set, are all taken at various abandon houses/barns/factories that are in my area.
Had to replace photo because I added a watermark so people wouldn't try to steal the image.

Appropriately named Coffee Pot Rock on the right. from the Airport Mesa Overlook Sedona Arizona looking north. Late afternoon and the red rocks really are this color. Monsoon storms firing up in the background. My lens was smudged and I don't alter these photos. Capitol Butte is just out of the photo to the left. Soldier Trail is just out of the photo on the right. Oak Creek is to the right.

I wish I could have stayed in Chicago a little longer to see this river turned green for St. Paddy's day. The building on the left is the new Trump Tower; the white one with the spire is the classic Wrigley Building.
UPDATE: This is one of three of my photos selected for the 2010 Chicago Events Calendar.
This photo is one of many in my new book called Through Len's Lens.
This is available for purchase at Red Bubble.
I was teaching earlier in the day and stayed out to catch some shots of the rain, which I am glad I did but I nearly killed all my equipment doing it! Despite some kind shopkeeper handing me a free umbrella earlier on, I got soaked-through, my bag got soaked-through and when I got home I had a mammoth session of drying out my gear; air-con on 'dry' and full all night, gear in dry-boxes with loads of silica-gel and dessicant. All fine now.

Mind you, worth it :-)
I apologised to my lenses this morning. They forgive me.
