Getting this shot almost cost me an entire bag of Nikons. Raining Cats and Dogs; Shimbashi, Tokyo

I was teaching earlier in the day and stayed out to catch some shots of the rain, which I am glad I did but I nearly killed all my equipment doing it! Despite some kind shopkeeper handing me a free umbrella earlier on, I got soaked-through, my bag got soaked-through and when I got home I had a mammoth session of drying out my gear; air-con on 'dry' and full all night, gear in dry-boxes with loads of silica-gel and dessicant. All fine now.

Hi guys,

Long time no see. I haven't taken any pictures since the last photo on my stream. I've been so busy lately (plus right now is the stage between winter and spring where everything is just...dead). In a month from now (eek!) I'll be going to France! You have no idea how excited I am.

This photo is from last summer when I was at SOCAPA. That's the Brooklyn (or Manhattan?) bridge. I miss NYC like crazy, I'm really hoping to go back this summer with my friends.
