Barcelona‘s Ribera district is dominated by Santa Maria del Mar, an imposing church built between 1329 and 1383, at the height of Catalonia's maritime and mercantile preeminence. It is an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic, with a purity and unity of style that are very unusual in large mediaeval buildings.
The construction of Santa Maria del Mar is the background for the best-selling novel La catedral del mar, by Ildefonso Falcones (Wikipedia).

Another shot taken shortly after sunrise. Fifteen minutes after I took this one, the sky was plain and pretty featureless, so I think I just got there in time!
I thought I would be the only person insane enough to hike Watkins Glen in a total downpour. But there she was, standing on the bridge checking out Rainbow Falls. Funny how I braved the rain only so I could shoot the falls without people walking in my shot - and my favorite image is one with someone in it.
Have a great week everyone.

Hi Friends, this is our second stop in our trip in Thailand: Railay Beach - Krabi
Bye from Angie & Max!

My Most interesting photos for a guy called Isaias
Railay Beach (Thai: ???????????) is a small peninsula located between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang. Accessible only by boat due to the high limestone cliffs cutting off mainland access. These cliffs attract rock climbers from all over the world, but the area is also popular due to its beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere. Accommodation ranges from inexpensive bungalows popular with backpackers and climbers, to the renowned jet-set resort of Rayavadee. The three main areas of Railay consist of West Railay, East Railay and Tonsai, with Tonsai catering more to climbers.
Railay beach was not severely hit by the tsunami of December 26, 2004.
