You don't have to love this as much as I do.
I was really happy with all of these and this was kinda inspired by This.

"Vale" Valentino Rossi from Italia, one of the big flavours in the Moto GP for the last years. A somewhat older picture on his Camel Yamaha.
This shot made me think of the Manchester artist Lowry and his stick people for some reason, his paintings generally captured scenes of people returning from work and the like and I think the number of people in shot and the small size gives a similar feel, probably just me.
I thought I'd try a simple photoshop filter to get the effect a little more and have included that in comments if you are interested.
You will notice the view point isnt dissimilar to the night shot yesterday, again this is handheld but while its nice and bright that isnt exactly an issue here lol, if you havent seen the night shot or the 'Natural high' abstract I would love you to check them out too if you have the time.

Couple of things have occured to me, one of which to be quite honest, I'm a little emotional over, being the softie that I am.. Thing is that I said that the picture made me think of the paintings of LS Lowry, and true he did paint scenes, normally of town life scattered with simple stick men. But it occurs to me now that one of the sounds of my childhood was the song dedicated to him and his paintings....
MATCHSTALK MEN AND MATCHSTALK CATS AND DOGS
(Burke / Coleman)
Brian & Michael - 1978
And he painted matchstalk men and matchstalk cats and dogs
He painted kids on the corner of the street with the sparking clogs
Now he takes his brush and he waits outside them factory gates
To paint his matchstalk men and matchstalk cats and dogs
Check the track out on youtube or elsewhere if you dont remember..
These were happy family times for me, and its only looking back you realise what you were able to take for granted... this song brings back floods of memories, anyway that's a personal thing that brings a lump to my throat.
I suppose it maybe the song mentioning the men and the dog(s), that along with the painting that has made the connection for me.
The other thing is that in 2007 a previously unknown painting of LS Lowry was sold at auction for 1 Million pounds, and that painting was of a fair, and the stick people.... for me the picture above shows a fair with the matchstalk men and dog(s).
Also added to soundtrack Monday, seemed appropriate
Have an awesome day, Friday tomorrow, fences at the ready!

He was playing on Decatour Street just outside Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans. There was a television crew there filming him at the same time and he was really into his performance. This is take 2 - Color (Sort of) and uncropped.
